Adult B’nei Mitzvah & Service Leading Class
Have you been thinking about having an adult Bar/Bat/Bet Mitzvah service?
Or ever wished you could give back to the community by helping to lead a Shabbat Service when the rabbi is sick or out of town?
This class is designed to prepare you for both adult B’nei Mitzvah ceremonies and for leading a typical Friday night service. Join a group of fellow Jews who would like to learn about and engage more deeply in our incredible prayer tradition.
Focus of the class: Learning to sing/chant the core prayers in Hebrew (with transliteration available), writing a D’var Torah (speech on the weekly Torah portion), and other service leading skills.
Tuition: Only $50, with optional tuition reimbursement after leading your first Friday night service. Scholarships are available for those in need.
Time: The first and third Tuesday from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm
