She has toured with Jewell and played an acoustic set with Dave Matthews Band violinist Boyd Tinsley, to name just a few. Billboard Magazine describes Susan Greenbaum’s voice this way: “Hers is a voice with something to say, embraced by strong-willed musicality ready and willing to go the distance.” More info about Susan can be found at her website.
All proceeds from the Susan Greenbaum concert will be used to buy supplies for the foster care kits and for other Or Ami social action projects. Please join us at Congregation Or Ami for an evening of fun and uplifting song.

The Foster Care Kit Project
Nearly 1300 children are waiting for homes in the Richmond foster care system and each year. The children often show up on their Foster Parents doorsteps with just the clothes on their back and in a state of emotional turmoil. Or Ami has prepared Foster Care Kits every year since 2004 because we believe it important to help make this painful situation a bit better. Last year Or Ami, with assistance from members of other faith-based congregations in RVA, assembled over 800 foster care kits, bringing the total number of foster care kits created by Or Ami since 2004 to approximately 2,800.
